Summary

Participants will acquire an insight into the process-oriented approach of the PRINCE2 project management method, in particular the Directing a Project (DP) process, the Progress Theme and the roles and responsibilities of the Project Board roles. This course is designed for Senior management levels in an organisation.

Educational Objectives

This half day introduction to PRINCE2 is designed to provide a high level overview of the main processes and thmes of a PRINCE2 project, and a comprehensive understanding of the Directing a Project process (DP), the Progress Theme and the roles and responsibilities of the Project Board members.

It will enable senior management personnel to understand the context for a project in relation to the business and how PRINCE2 supports a systematic approach to new developments within the business.

  • Project definition
  • Project life-cycle
  • Organisation Theme
  • Directing a Project (DP) process
  • Progress Theme, Risk Theme and Change Theme

Prerequisites

It is desirable but not essential that participants have some experience of working on projects. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the event and is expected to be fully read before attending the course.
