Summary

Participants will acquire an insight into the process-oriented approach of the PRINCE2™ project management method, in particular the Directing a Project (DP) process, the Controls component and the roles and responsibilities of the Project Board roles.

Educational objectives

This half day introduction to PRINCE2™ is designed to provide a high level overview of the main processes and components of a PRINCE2™ project, and a comprehensive understanding of the Directing a Project process (DP), the Controls components and the roles and responsibilities of the Project Board members
It will enable delegates to understand the context for a project in relation to the business and how PRINCE2™ supports a systematic approach to new developments within the business

  • Project definition
  • Project life-cycle
  • Organisation Component
  • Directing a Project (DP) process
  • Controls Component, Risk Component and Change Control Component & Technique

Prerequisites

It is desirable but not essential that participants have some experience of working on projects. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the event and is expected to be fully read before attending the course.
